ATGCC Custom Spice Racks

No matter the size of your kitchen, the perfect amount of space for storage and prep always seems just out of reach. Nothing frees up space like a little organization, and one great way to get that additional space is to add a spice rack to your kitchen décor. These clients decided to maximize the spice storage space in their kitchen with a custom-made spice rack from Against the Grain Creative Concepts.

For this project, we used barn siding from the HWY 50 barn teardown. We cut strips of siding 66inches long and mounted them to black gas pipe on the wall to maximize wall space available in a cool and creative sort of way.

At Against the Grain Creative Concepts, we believe that reclaimed wood furniture stands out from the rest because it has character! We preserve the history of the wood, leaving the saw cuts, scars, and distinctive markings. We believe that scars have stories! The inevitable marks of use, utility, and age shouldn’t be erased, they should be embraced. These marks, mars, and scars don’t detract from the beauty and artistic expression of an item, rather they are proof that it has value, that it was used, that it was loved, so we loved tying upcycled wood materials into this modern bathroom design!
