Recently I shared some pics of a fun nautical-themed coffee table that we created for a client’s beach house from #reclaimedbarnwood. That piece drew inspiration from a piece of glass from her mother’s coffee table, but it also drew inspiration from a previous piece we created for them! A nautical-themed mantel to remind them that wherever they are, #Kenosha will always be home!So I’m turning #MotivationMonday into #MantelMonday today to show that piece off and show that motivation and inspiration are drawn from many things. Surround yourself with the things that inspire you! Contact us today, and we’ll work with you from concept to creation bringing you the custom furniture you’ve been dreaming of. Some long-time clients approached us after they had purchased a ton of white oak #liveslabs, but had no idea what to do with them. They had an unfinished room, that they wanted to turn into a bunk room. So we came up with a design to incorporate the live edge slabs (32” wide at the narrow end and 56” at the base and nine feet tall). We sliced them down the middle to create the two upright supports for each bunk, and the frames were then built from #reclaimedbarnwood taken from the Bristol barn tear down.Underneath the bottom bunk we created two drawers that run the width of the bunks, and used other slabs to create door fronts which were sculpted to meet perfectly with support slabs. In order to access the top bunk we built custom stairs, constructed from live slabs, with drawers on the first two steps, and the three treads above with cubbies for storage. For lighting the client wanted hand sconces to be incorporated so we added them to the staircase to light up the lower bunk when needed, and on top of the main support slabs we converted some cattle waterers and wired them so that they can be turned on from bottom bunk along with USB ports and chargers.Contact us today, and we’ll work with you from concept to creation bringing you the custom furniture you’ve been dreaming of. Recently the #ATGCC crew created a #Liveedge coffee table for a long-standing client. They loved it so much they wanted us to create a matching base for a copper top table which their mom picked up while on vacation in Turkey 60 years ago!

These are the types of projects I love! The inevitable marks of use, utility, and age shouldn’t be erased, they should be embraced. These marks, mars, and scars don’t detract from the beauty and artistic expression of an item, rather they are proof that it has value, that it was used, that it was loved!

A longstanding client brought us a piece of glass that came from her mother’s coffee table and she wanted us to use that piece and turn it into a coffee table for their beach house in Hilton Head.

The piece of glass had 4 holes where the pole table legs went through it. So we needed to put together a table that utilized the 4 holes. They have a nautical themed beach house, so we took an old ship line that was recovered from Lake Superior and used the dock line as part of the structure of the table along with 4X4 barn beams from the Kansasville barn tear down, alternating the layers

The goal was to make the inside of the table look just like the outside of the table. It was a challenging build to make the rope a structural support. But in the end the results were fantastic.
